John Goetze, Owner, MS, PT, CFCE
John founded JGPT in 1998 and has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 1988. He received his Master’s degree in PT from Columbia University in NY. He is trained as a functional manual therapist through the Institute of Physical Art, Inc. Functional manual therapy is a highly skilled methodology utilizing a hands-on approach to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures, restoring joint function and re-educating muscle and other tissues to return to normal function. With John’s skilled hands-on approach of treating the cause of an injury alongside managing symptoms, our patients experience true effective healing as well as the prevention of reoccurring injuries.
Jesse Sweatt, PTA
Jesse received his Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Keiser University in Jacksonville, FL. He has worked with JGPT for over one year. Jesse is advancing his manual therapy skills through continuing education from the Institute of Physical Art.
Joyce Hall, AA
Joyce is a native of Jacksonville, Florida with over 40 years of administrative and management experience. A little old school with a touch of savvy.
Ben Wilkening, PT
A Jacksonville native, Ben graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science in 2009. After graduation, he worked for several years with a non-profit focused on mentoring teenagers in Atlanta. In 2013, Ben returned to school to pursue a career in physical therapy and graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. Ben joined the JGPT team after graduating. He is married and has 2 young daughters. When he isn’t working, Ben enjoys playing with his daughters, as well as gardening, kayaking, and camping.
Mark Mayfield, PTA
Mark Mayfield is a Jacksonville native who received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Keiser University in 2015. Mark enjoys using Functional Manual Therapy approach which is a highly skilled methodology utilizing a hands-on approach to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures, restoring joint function and re-educating muscle and other tissues to return to normal function. Mark is experienced with Kinesiotaping, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and several more techniques used to improve his patients functional goals. Mark’s personal time is spent kickboxing, running, going to festivals, singing karaoke, and spending time with friends.
Ruth Mullins, AA
Ruth is a graduate of Florida Community College of Jacksonville where she has taken many courses towards Medical Office Management. She has worked at JGPT for over 8 years as our Administrative Assistant where she brings her 25+ years experience in the Insurance/Medical Field.
Staci Riddling, MPT
Staci received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in 2003 and started her career at John Goetze Physical Therapy in 2004. Staci is married and has one son, Andrew. On Staci’s off time she likes to spend her time on the water. Staci grew up dancing, taught dance for 15 years and has coached cheerleading.
Jessica Jenkins, PTA
Jessica received an Associate of Science degree from Florida Gateway College and is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Jessica has a deep background in softball. In addition to playing softball in high school and college, she has also coached. Jessica loves to be at the beach or lake on her off time, kayaking, and fishing offshore with her family and friends.
Andrea Taylor, AA
Andrea has her Associates in Arts degree and Associate’s in Science from Florida Gateway College. She has been with John Goetze Physical Therapy since 2008 as a Secretary and Physical Therapy Technician. Andrea is married to Lee and loves to sing and spend time with her family and friends.
